Welcome to Burgos Pangasinan

Here are the Tourist Attraction in Bani Pangasinan

Who would have thought that a tree variant will become a name of a quaint yet beautiful town in the north? But yes, in the province of Pangasinan, a small place filled with Pongamia pinnata Linn or the Shui huang pi or locally known as bani has been baptized with the name of the tree.

The Municipality of Bani is a little paradise nestled in the northern Philippine archipelago, facing the West Philippine Sea. Being a pristine land not flocked and attacked by a lot of tourists and opportunists, Bani is able to maintain its utopian effect with its amazing, white sand beaches and lush vegetation with the rolling mountains and hills that serve as the town’s backdrop. Those who want to refresh and to stay away from touristy places will definitely find Bani the perfect holiday destination.

There are many activities that you can do while you are in Bani. Nevertheless, you have to prepare yourself well as some of the recreations require great physical strength from the tourists. Check out the following and see to it that you do not miss out on any of these must-see attractions in this lovely Pangasinan gem.
Olanen Beach and Other White-Sand Coastal Areas
Because the town is facing the South China Sea, you can expect Bani to be lined with long stretches of white sand beaches, one of which is the Olanen Beach located in Barangay Dacap Sur. You can reach this beach-resort potential after a 30-minute ride from the poblacion. Here you can bask under the tropical sun or go swimming in its crystal clear waters. From Olanen, you can also find the panoramic view of the Hundred Islands located in the nearby town of Alaminos.
Another interesting beach is the Surip Beach located at the westernmost part of Bani. Unlike Olanen, Surip is rocky and rough underwater, perfect for those who are into snorkeling, scuba diving and recreational fishing. Surip is also home to a large variety of lobsters and tropical fishes, therefore making it a point of interest for marine life enthusiasts.

Nalsoc Cave
Considered to be one of the hidden wonders of Bani, this cavern in Barangay Colayo has been highly regarded in tourist guides and manuals in Europe. Inside the Nalsoc Cave, you will discover an amazing archway made of stalactites and stalagmites that are a thing to behold. It covers a subterranean river that passes through the beautiful limestone formations and washes out into the West Philippine Sea. If you are adventurous, a trip to the Nalsoc Cave will definitely make your day.

Baliwangga Falls
Jaw-dropping and simply beautiful is what best describes the Baliwangga Falls located just a few minutes of walking from the Ranao Elementary School. This famous waterfalls is cascading at a thousand-foot depth, which makes it truly remarkable among other waterfalls in the country. Take a brief dip on its cool water to rejuvenate yourself but be careful of the current as it can push you further away from where you are bathing.
 How to Get To Bani
To experience the striking attractions mentioned above, you have to take around a 4-hour ride from Metro Manila to Bani, Pangasinan. You can take express busses coming from the Balintawak Cloverleaf and choose any of the five routes used in accessing Bani. You can take Route 1 that goes to to Sual / Alaminos City at 248       kms; Route 2 that passes via TIPO highway junction to SBMA / Mabini / Alaminos City at 326 kms; Route 3 via SCTex Exit / Mabini / Alaminos City at 354 kms; Route 4 passing TIPO highway junction to SBMA / Agno Mabini Burgos junction at 311 kms; or Route 5 going through SCTex Exit / Agno Mabini Burgos junction at 338 kms.

Welcome to Angel Cave in Bani Pangasinan

ANGEL CAVE: AN ECOLOGICAL TREASURE IN NEED OF PROTECTION
Angel Cave in Bani, Pangasinan blew to frnsied proportions. And it's not hard to understand why.
With travel and adventure being what's "in" the ontherwordly appeal of Angel Cave is difficult to ignore. Its cathedral-like structure, snow-white massive calcite formations, plus the thrill of swimming through numerous underground pools, is the equivalent of a cone-hither look to adventurers.

The entrance to a nearby cave system called " Tagay Cave"

Thousands of bats call the cave system its home.

The hollowed " Tagay Cave," a few meters from Angel cave.

There are months when these tendrils of vines are decorated with green leaves, making it look like a Christmas Tree.

The cave is located on a private land owned bt the Tagay Family who also seeves as yhe caretakers of the place. But before you go vwnturing into Bani and demanding entry to thia natural wonder, do us all a favor and read on.

Angel Cave, the unoffical name of the largely unmapped cavern in Centeo-Toma in Bani, is declared as a Class 1 Cave by the Deparment of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), pursuant to the RepublicAct No. 9072 or the National Caves and Cave Managemwnt and Protectuon Act.

According to the Cave Classification Manual by the Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau of th DENR, Class 1 Caves are "cave with delicate and fragile geological formations, threateed species, archeological and paleontological values, and extremely hazardous conditions. Allowable use may include mapping, photography, educational and scientific purposes".

The "Adult Pool," with over 10 feet depth in its deepest portion.

In comparison, Calss 2 Caves are " caves woth areas or portions whi h have sections that have hazardous conditions amd contain sensiti e geological, biological, arheological, cultural, historical, and bilogical values or high quality ecosystem. It maybe neccesary to cloese sectiona of these caves seasonally or permanently. It is open to experiences caves or quided educational tours/visits".

The length of Angem Cave's " Adult Pool"

This massive terrace of shelfstones the cave is one of its astounding features.

This pseudo-spider is one of the many creatures found inside Angel Cave.

Deeper still into Angel Cave, the reflections of this cluster of speleothems on thestilm water create an errie mirror effect.

The shelfstones inside Angel Cave looked like the petals of a rose when viewed from the top.

Aside frome massive and stunning cave formations, cave pearls and helecities can also be found deeper into Angel Cave

Class 3 Caves, meanwhile, are " caves generally safe to inexperienced visitor with no known threatend species archeological, geological, natural historg, cultural and historical values. These caves may also be utilized for economic purposes such as guano extraction and edible bird's nest collection".

As examples, Sumaging Cave in Safanda, and Tinipak Cave in rizal are Class 2 Caves, while Adoy Cave in Alaminos is a Class 3.

Many of this plants specimen litters Angel Cave's floor a probable explanation for its presence in the cave is that bat dwellers feed on it, making its guano a natural seed carrier.

Taking these classifications into perpective, one of the implications of being a Class 1 Cave is that it will take time before Angel Cave is opened for ecotourism. But, that is also saying this is no impossible.

Another large delicate formation inside Angel Cave

In cooperation with the municipal government of Bano, I was granted access to the cave in other to learn of its environmental significance and its potential for ecotourism.

The team, composing of personnel from the local government unit, the private land owners, and cave experts, that accompanied when you hisit to Angel Cave

Angel cave, in person, is even more marvelous. Although, concerns for safety is real as there are pools to be swam and the cave floor of slippery. The cave is also teeming with large and delicate speleothems - cave formations - that require careful maneuvering of one's body in order to avoid damaging the formations.

The angel-wing speleothem from which the cave's name is derived.

Father still into Angel Cave, a subterranean waterfall gushes into another underwater pool.

On the "wings" of Angel Cave. Speleothems react negatively to body oil, that's why it's advisable to wear gloves or avoid touching them completely

These concerns are what Bani's government, the DENR, the private landowners, and the local community are working on to come up with a sustainable cave management plan that'll make ecotourism possible for the cave. For this reason, access to Angel Cave has been suspended until further notice while the persons and institutions involved devise a comprehensive plan for protection and preservation. To facsafety, the cave's carrying capacity. Fees, maintenance, and other stakeholder concern are being thoroughly studied. Ilitate this issues such as.

So,please be a responsible adventurer and abide by this notice. Let us give them sample time to formukate and put into effect a matually benefical cave management system. Let us support them in their initiative to conserve nature as well as to uplift the quality of life of the community through ecotourism.

So ayan guys. Nalaman niyo na ang kahalagahan ng Angel Cave. Inaasahan kung may nalaman kayo sa araw na ito. Salamat sa inyong paview sa blog ko

Hi! Ako'y muling nagbabalik☺☺. Halina't kayo'y sumama sa akin patungong Colibra Island sa Dasol. Tara!!

Welcome to Colibra Island

Leaving Balinmanok we proceeded to Colibra Island. This location is sometimes spelled Culebra and is alao called Snake Island for the highly poisonous sea snakes that used to make the island their home. Colibra is easily visible from Tambobong Beach with its thick deposit of fine white sand and four lanky coconout palms scattered throughout Collibra can be reached whitn in 3o minitues frome Tambonong Beach.

Colibra is a small island and may be cicled on foot in less 15 minutes. The eastern and northerm sections of the island's shores, facing Tambobong Beach, are carpeted with creamy white sand with large pebbles and coral rocks scattered throughout. Crystal-clear waters surrounded the whole island. We spent a good portion of our time swimming and snorkeling in the eastern section of Colibra. We also noticed that even in summer it seems the waves are pretty strong. A glance at the map shows why. Colibra island happens to be located in the open West Philippine Sea,just outside the shelterof Dasol Bay. So this was the reason why no boat would dare venture out here during the amihan season four years ago.
With just fpur, widely-separate coconut palms, the island practically has no shade except for a dense thicket of shubs in the eastern and central sector. Here we saw at least two groups of visitors using the shrubs as a shade while griling their food. It seems that the locals are regularly using this as a picnic area. The southern section of the island is dominated by a slightly elevated rock shelf.

"It is an ugly place!"

"The's nothing there!"

We ignored their rants and spents a night in the island. Only us under milliona of starta, with the sunset, moonrise and sunrise gracing our stay.

Situated off the coast of Barangay Tambobong in Dasol, Colobra Island or Camaso Island is a tiny amd rocky islet surrounded qoth cream sand and turqoise qater... so small that one can tour it in fifteen minutes or less.

The island is flat and dry, making it hard for fresh water-dependent tress to survive. There used to befive coconut trees there but now down to jone. There are patches of smaller plants around but its entirety is unshaded.

Colibra island is jsut 20 minutes ride from Tambobkng Beach. Unlike before, a resort now controls the island collecting P25 entrance fee for every guest and docking fee for every boat. There are also open cottages for rent and stores selling basic supplies.
With Tambobong just eight kilometeres awwmay from Barangay Cabongaoan, Colibra is best combined woth trip to the todal pools of Cabongaon Beach, the "Death Pools of Pangasinan".

How to Get to Colibra Island from Manila?

Ride a bus (First North Luzon Transit, Victory Liner,Dagupan Bus, Five Star) from Cubao or Pasay to Alaminos, fare ranges from P380 to P400 and travel time is at leasr four and a half hour.

From Alaminos, transfer to a local bus to Sta. Cruz or Iba and get off at the juction toTambobong in Dasol, fare is P39 and travel time is around 45 minutes. You may also cath a bus going to Sta. Cruz via Alaminos and get off strainght at the Tambobong Junction although this trip/route is limited.

From the junction, flag a trike to take yoh to Tambobong Beach at P300= trike maximum of four passengers. At Fambobong Beach, boats are readily available at P800 round trip, good for three, inclusive of docking fee of P100.

If you are in Barangay Cabongaoan, you may also charter a boat to Colibra thre albeit a little expensive and travel time takes a little longer than if coming from Barangay Tambonong. Alternatively, you may flag a tricycle from there a hotch to vehicles going to Tambobong. Trike rate starts at P100 one-way, maximum of there, travel time is 15 to 20 minutes.

Tips
• The ideal timw to leave Manila is from midnight to early morning in order to arrive in Tambobong before lunch
• A direct air-conditoned bus to Burgos and Dasol leaves Victory Liner Cubao terminal at 12 Midnight. This is a Sta. Cruz, Zambales bound bus via Alaminos, Pangasinan. If you miss this bus, the next trip to Sta. Cruz via Alaminos would be at 430 in the morning.
• There are jeepneys from Alaminos that goes directly to Tambobong via Burgos. Although there are only less than 10 jeepneys with unpredictable schedule
• It would ve better to get the contact number of the trike driver so you can contact them of there is no more jeepneys or trike around on your return
• There is mobile signal in Tambobong and Colibra Island
• There is no electricity and water source Culebra Island
• Camping is allowed in Colibra Island

Oh ayan guys.
So ngayon aking muling ipapakilala ang Cabacugan, So tara na☺☺

Welcome to Cabacugan Cove and Crocodile Island

This cove located on the western side of Ballas Nagtaros Island,,a rocky islet separated from the northwestern end of Tambobong Beach by a narrow channel. When you are fist time to visit here, the tide had receded making it possible to cross the channel on foot to get to Cabacugan. It was a moderately long trk that afforded good views of the rocky shores this side of Dasol. Unlike Tambobong and Balinmanok, Cabacungan Cove and the rest of Balas Nagtaros Island does not have any white sand beach. But the rocky shores have beauty all their own. There is also a small cave inone of the rock formations at Cabacugan that exits into the sea and contains an emerald-colored pool.
Cabacugan Cove was the last stop in our island-hopping, beach burmming itinerary for Dasol. Our boat didn't dock right on Cabacugan Cove due to the strong waves there. Instead we disembarked on athor side of Balas Nagtaros which was protected from the strong surf and had to walk up a low hill then down to Cabacugan. At the summit of the rise of ground you can get good panoramic views all over the area.

On the way to Cabacugan from Colibra Island we passed by Crocodile Island, so named for its resemblance to a crocodile head. It's a rocky islet with no beach and such were the waves that it was practically impossible to dock here. We simply rounded the island for a close-up view before disembarking on Balas Nagtaros.

The cove itself is surrounded by rugged rock formations. Like the beach further up north, Cabacugan's beach is smothered woth rust-colored and sun-bleached rocks. The strong surf here has obviously beendoing its works. When we first saw this cove at low tide, several tidal pool had formed near the edge of the beach trapping several marine creatures. We remember being able to touch and observe several species of live starfish and big sea cucumbers- a specialty in Chinese restaurants back jn Manila. Woth a strong surf punding the beacg this time,we just satnon higher ground and enjoyed the view.

Ito yung mga cave na makikita sa Cabacugan Cove.
